During the inauguration ceremony of the
SAKHU Cancer Foundation, a poignant moment unfolded as Ms.
Sakhu Jare, a true cancer warrior who has bravely fought her own
battle against cancer, presented a much-needed donation to the
guardians of 7-year-old Master Arhan Shaikh. Arhan, who was diagnosed
with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a severe and
life-threatening form of blood cancer, has been under intensive
medical care. The emotional impact of the diagnosis on Arhan’s family
was compounded by the financial burden of ongoing treatments.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the SAKHU Cancer Foundation,
all of Arhan’s treatment expenses have now been fully covered,
offering the family a ray of hope during an incredibly difficult time.
The donation was presented by Ms. Sakhu Jare, who shared her own
inspiring journey of survival and resilience. She emphasized that no
child should face cancer alone, and that it’s crucial for the
community to come together to support families like Arhan’s. The
heartfelt gesture not only alleviated the financial strain on Arhan’s
family but also reinforced the message of compassion and solidarity.
As Ms. Sakhu Jare handed over the donation, there was a visible sense
of relief and gratitude on the faces of Arhan's guardians. This
financial assistance allowed the family to focus entirely on Arhan’s
recovery without the looming concern of medical bills. The donation
marks a pivotal moment in Arhan’s treatment, giving him a fighting
chance against this life-threatening illness. The event was also
attended by Dr. Mangala Vidhate, Dr. Nilesh Veer, and Ms. Supriya
Bhagat on behalf of the SAKHU Cancer Foundation, who all play
crucial roles in providing care, guidance, and support to children
battling cancer.
The presence of Dr. Kannan, Dr. Sarita, Madam Pillay, and the entire
social work team from KEM Hospital was a testament to the unified
effort being made to fight cancer at every level. The donation from
the SAKHU Cancer Foundation was not just about money—it was
about instilling hope and offering a renewed sense of purpose to young
Arhan and his family in their ongoing fight against blood cancer.
